About the project

Taking inspiration from native plants and how the bayous have played an important role in the city’s history, this mural celebrates nature and documents the beauty of our community. It strives to inspire a culture of conservation that allows us to live our lives in harmony with nature. To grow freely, resiliently, and beautifully just like flowers do. Nature is a vital link through which we connect with others, with the world, and the universe at large. This mural reminds us that nature is the sanctuary in our lives that allows us to be extraordinary parts of the communities that we create.
